IPTA Congress Scientific Award Guidelines
The IPTA Congress Scientific Awards are designed to recognize scientific merit and encourage membership and interest in IPTA.

October 14, 2022
To be eligible for a scientific award, an individual must:
- Submit at least one abstract as a presenting author.
- Be a trainee, AHP or resident of an emerging economy country. As such, must be within two (2) years of completion of their training and/or fellowship, or provide proof of residency.
- A supporting letter must be submitted as a part of the award application. This letter must be signed by the applicant's Training Program Director to verify the applicant’s status as a young investigator. Authors will not be considered for an award if the required letter is not sent. The applicant MUST be the presenting author. No exceptions will be made.
- For emerging economy country application, a proof of residency must be provided with the application to be considered.

Process for bestowing the award:
- Awardees will be selected from the pool of eligible applicants based upon the abstract's degree of excellence (top score), as determined by the Scientific Program Committee.
- Awards may not exceed a maximum amount of $1,000 USD per awardee (reimbursement will be made upon submission of receipts). A maximum of 5 awards from IPTA will be provided.
- Final selection of recipients will be approved by IPTA.
Awards
In person Congress Scientific Awards
- 5 Awards of $1,000 USD will be giving to high score applicants that are attending the in person meeting. The awards aims to help cover the cost of travel and accommodation during the meeting.
- Award recognition certificate
- Complimentary IPTA membership (if not already a member) for 2023 and 2024.
